The Cultured Reader Course
The “Cultured Reader” diploma teaches reading to children in an innovative and interesting way, aiming to develop their skills with interactive activities.
About Course
An innovative educational program that makes reading fun for children, encouraging them to explore the world of books with curiosity and excitement.
The Intellectual Reader course is primarily concerned with reading comprehension, and each level of the course helps students go through different levels of reading comprehension.
The first level (direct literal reading comprehension):
At this level, the learner should be able to relate words to each other and know their meanings and antonyms, and read sentences of three or more words with their purpose and the ability to produce the same.
– Level two (Main Reading Comprehension):
At this level, the learner should be able to identify the main ideas in the text and its main objective, in addition to being able to extract the sub-ideas as well, and directly understand what the words, synonyms and antonyms indicate, in addition to the learner being able to identify the details of the topic and be able to arrange the sequential events correctly, and this level is considered the beginning of reading comprehension levels.
– Level three (Inferential Reading Comprehension):
After understanding the texts literally, the learner at this level of reading comprehension is able to interpret the text, infer implied meanings that were not adequately explained and infer them by identifying cause-and-effect relationships, understand the common values emphasized in the text, begin to understand different metaphors, and identify similarities and differences between this text and other texts
– Level four (Critical Reading Comprehension):
At this level of reading comprehension, the reader is able to evaluate the text they read, review it, determine how much they like the text, and use functional expression to write a review of the text or judge it objectively, explaining what strong arguments are used and what weak arguments are, thanks to the development of their ability to ascertain scientific facts, understand metaphors, distinguish between fact, fiction, and opinion, and reach the desired message of the text.
